NDA science teacher Noah Rasmussen and his wife, Katie, have been together for over 12 years. They have built a relationship based on mutual support, respect, and shared interests.
The two met during the first week of their freshman year at UW-La Crosse. They lived near each other at the time in dorms. They also shared a friend group, and from there, they grew closer.
Their early bond continues throughout their adult lives in college and throughout their careers. The two married in May of 2025.
Katie is an ambulatory pharmacist for ThedaCare, where she works with patients dealing with weight loss, heart disease and diabetes.
“She is great at what she does and always has interesting stories to tell about her patient visits,” Rasmussen said.
Outside of her work, Rasmussen shares that his wife is an awesome cook who loves trying new recipes.
From LaCrosse to Madison, Green Bay, Arizona, and now Appleton, the couple has followed each other and sought out their goals every step of the way.
“We’ve been through so many things together,” Mr. Rasmussen shared. “We make a really good team.”
In their free time, the two love to stay active. You can find them hiking in national parks, playing their favorite sports of volleyball, golfing, or even cribbage.
This summer, they are welcoming their baby girl in June.
“We are very excited!” exclaimed Rasmussen.
Katie has been very supportive of Rasmussen’s decision to be a teacher.
“She is a big science nerd like I am and loves to hear about what my students are learning,” said the science teacher..
